I would like to create a classroom where "character matters, hard work is respected, humility is valued, and support for one another is unconditional (Esquith, 2007)."
My name is Junhee Kim. I am a first grade teacher. This is my sixth year teaching at Richmond College Prep. I graduated from University of California, Berkeley in 2003 with a bachelor’s degree in sociology. Later, I completed my Multiple Subject Credential program with the Middle Level Emphasis at San Jose State University.
Prior to coming to Richmond College prep, I have had the opportunity and pleasure to work with a wide variety of students with diverse learning styles and abilities. I have enjoyed creating interactive and engaging lesson plans that incorporate a variety of manipulatives and teaching methods to spark the interest of my students and retain it throughout the lessons. I have always had a love of learning, and I am excited about the opportunity to share my enthusiasm with students.
