With great enthusiasm, Yeslia embarks on her third year at RCP. This school year, she is the Transitional Kindergarten teacher. As the first college graduate in her family, Yeslia earned Honors at the University of California, Santa Cruz, where she received a double BA in general literature and Film/digital media in 2021. Her passion for teaching and education motivates her to pursue a master’s degree shortly.
Yeslia takes pride in her Mexican heritage, though she was born and raised in Richmond, CA. Her parents’ immigration from Michoacan, Mexico, instilled in her an appreciation for their sacrifices to provide her with a better life. Yeslia enjoys watching movies, reading, and exploring new places when she’s not in the classroom.
