Richmond College Prep: A Legacy of Excellence

Richmond College Prep (RCP) was founded with a mission to provide high-quality education and opportunities for the children of Richmond, California. Established in 2004, RCP has been a cornerstone of academic achievement and community empowerment, serving students from transitional kindergarten through eighth grade.

Richmond College Prep was founded by David Rosenthal, an attorney for equity and social justice, whose vision was to create an educational institution that would uplift underserved students in Richmond. His dedication to equity in education led to the establishment of a school focused on academic excellence, social-emotional learning, and community engagement.

The founding CEO of RCP was Peppina Liano, an experienced educational leader committed to building a strong foundation for the school. Under her leadership, RCP developed a robust academic program and a nurturing school culture that continues to thrive today.

Over the years, Richmond College Prep has grown into a model of educational success, emphasizing rigorous academics, innovative teaching strategies, and strong community partnerships.
