Melanin Families Committee

The Melanin Families Committee at Richmond College Prep (RCP) is a vibrant and empowering space dedicated to celebrating, uplifting, and advocating for Black students and their families. The committee works to strengthen cultural pride, foster unity, and build community through events, educational workshops, and open dialogue. By centering the voices and experiences of families of color, the Melanin Families Committee promotes equity, inclusion, and a deeper sense of belonging within the school. The committee also serves as a bridge between families and school leadership, ensuring that the needs, concerns, and brilliance of black families are seen, heard, and valued.
