WHAT IS TITLE IX
Title IX of the Education Amendments of 1972 is a federal civil rights law that prohibits discrimination on the basis of sex in any education program or activity receiving federal financial assistance. In a school, Title IX ensures that all students, regardless of their gender, have equal access to educational opportunities, programs, and services. This includes protections against sexual harassment, gender-based discrimination, and unequal treatment in academics, athletics, or extracurricular activities. Richmond College Prep is committed to upholding Title IX and fostering a safe, inclusive, and equitable environment for all students and staff.
